Paraffin is an occlusive moisturizer , which means it forms a physical barrier on the skin to prevent water loss. Paraffin Gauze Dressings are used to dress denuded areas and hence these gauze are specially coated with soft paraffin jelly. The paraffin dressing, paraffin gauze dressing is non-adherent, non allergenic gamma sterilized, which helps in the speedy recovery of wounds.
:: Composition
Paraffin Gauze Dressings are open weave, which reduces fraying and loss of shape. Paraffin Gauze dressing is composed from non-woven, low-adherence gauze dressing that has been imbued with paraffin wax. All paraffin dressings are sterile.

Used in the treatment of ulcers, small minor burns and scalds, donor and recipient skin graft sites, skin loss, lacerations, abrasions, leg ulcers and various traumatic injuries
